Tom Thomason, PE, PMP, has been with Pinnacle Engineering since 2005. Tom has over fifty years of experience in the Mechanical and Utility Engineering industry. A native of Dyersburg, TN, he earned his BS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1970 and transplanted to Alabama with Alabama Power Company. He received his MBA degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1982. After 15 years with Southern Company and AT&T, Tom moved into the engineering consulting arena in 1985, where he was given the responsibility of starting up, staffing, and managing the Design Group for an Energy Consulting firm for eight years. After working with two other consulting firms over the next twelve years, Tom rejoined two previous co-workers, Jim Cingoranelli and James Hogland, as the Senior Project Manager at Pinnacle Engineering in 2005. Since that time, Tom has served as Pinnacle’s Project Manager for several rewarding projects, including Auburn University’s Student Center, Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center’s Boiler Plant Replacement, Church of the Highlands’ original campus at Grants Mill Road in Birmingham. In his spare time, Tom enjoys reading, fishing, shooting sporting clays, and his family. He and his wife Rachel enjoy time with their four children and eight grandchildren – and their beach time together on Sanibel Island.
