Prime consultant for addition of 2,000-ton chiller/cooling tower with infrastructure to support future 2,000-ton addition. Design included primary and secondary chilled water pumps, condenser water pump, cooling tower platform, and control automation. Prime consultant for removal of existing 350-ton and (2) 450-ton chillers and cooling towers with (2) 700-ton chillers and cooling towers. Provisions were also made for the addition of future 700-ton chiller/cooling tower. Scope of work also included re-piping plant as primary/secondary chilled water distribution, renovation of existing plate & frame heat exchanger, new electrical switchboard and motor control center, cooling tower filtration system, ASHRAE Standard 15 ventilation system, and full plant automation system. Work was performed during academic year without disruption to normal building operations.
